KD Development develops land and builds residential real estate.  The founders of KD Development are Dave and Karen Allsop.  Dave started in the homebuilding and land development industry in 1980.   Working with major Southern California and Southern Nevada Builders, Dave has overseen the design and development of onsite and offsite improvements for thousands of residential units and directed the construction of several thousand homes, condominiums, and apartments.

In 1999, a Southern Nevada lender asked Dave and Karen to acquire three broken residential communities that the lender had taken from builders in the Las Vegas area.  Dave and Karen formed KD Development to acquire and take over the operations of the failing projects.  Over the next eight years, KD Development would go on to develop nearly 1,100 homes sites, build 700 homes, and construct a 216-unit apartment complex.
